Modern short-travel bikes are more capable than ever, and more popular too. Some may even say that short travel is back in the spotlight. RaceFace set out to create a stem that allows short-travel riders to fine-tune fit, handling, and performance without compromising versatility—or requiring constant upgrades. The result: the Turbine SL stem with a fully flippable design built for adaptability.
Turbine SL’s default orientation is negative offset, giving riders better-climbing control and pedaling efficiency. In this orientation the stem’s top surface is completely flat, offering aesthetic appeal and an ideal surface for headset spacer-style or “over-the-stem” cycling computer mounts.
Flip Turbine SL for a +6mm offset stem and a 12mm boost in cockpit height (compared with negative orientation), without adjusting the position of headset spacers. A higher cockpit encourages a more capable and confidence-inspiring descending position. It also lets riders sit more upright and comfortably when pedaling.
